What Fir Vale Academy Stands For 
In June 2020, past and present students came together to share what Fir Vale Academy means to them. Their words reflect the heart of our community and the values that guide us every day. 

A Community Built on Diversity and Belonging 
Fir Vale Academy is made up of many cultures, backgrounds, and ethnicities. We are all human, and together we reflect the rich diversity of Britain. Our differences make us stronger, and everyone has a place here. 

Pride, Respect, and High Expectations 
We believe in celebrating success, hard work, and achievement, and taking pride in all that we do. We encourage confidence in ourselves, respect for one another, and care for our school, our environment, and our wider community. 

Kindness and Understanding 
We value learning about what we have in common and treating others with kindness and respect. By treating people the way we would like to be treated, we create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. 

A Safe and Supportive School 
We want everyone at Fir Vale Academy to feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Something as simple as welcoming someone new can make a big difference—uplifting others helps us all feel better. 

Learning Beyond Our Own Experience 
We encourage our students to explore and experience cultures beyond their own, broadening their understanding of the world and the people in it. 

Shaping the Future Together 
We live in a democracy where everyone has a voice. We believe in using that opportunity responsibly and understanding our role in shaping the future.

We encourage everyone to discover what is right for them, create opportunities, and work hard to achieve their goals. With determination and resilience, even when things are difficult, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
