Fir Vale Academy follows the Sheffield Local Authority Admissions Policy. All applications for a place must be made through Sheffield City Council’s Secondary Admissions team.

The Sheffield City Council “Transfer to Secondary School” guide provides key information on applying for a school place, important deadlines, and helpful guidance for families.

Fir Vale Academy works in partnership with the Local Authority and uses the Common Admissions Transfer Form for Year 7 entry. Parents and carers of Year 6 pupils must apply using this form.

For in-year transfers (Years 7–11), parents and carers should contact the Local Authority or speak to their child’s current school to request a transfer form.
